
The Korea Customs Service reported that wine imports reached $239.2 million from January to November 2020, which already surpasses 2019’s record of $204 million.
Meanwhile, imports of beer and whiskey fell last year due to on-premise restrictions for bars.
The top ranked exporters of red wine to Korea include Chile, France, the U.S., Italy and Spain.
France exported the most white wine to Korea last year, followed by Italy, Chile, the U.S. and New Zealand.
