An article in this week’s NYT discussed an investigation into sexual assault charges levied against the mayor of Windsor, Calif., who’s known as the “prince of wine country.”
The NYT noted that the investigation, which was first reported by The San Francisco Chronicle, “surfaced more than accusations of a pattern of misconduct by one person. It also shined a light on the insular culture of the local wine industry, and how that industry is closely entwined with the region’s politics.”
In the article, Amy Bess Cook, founder of Woman-Owned Wineries, shared some of her observations with NYT reporter Jill Cowen.
